About Us

New England Ballet (NEB) was co-founded in 1981 as a non-profit chamber troupe/ballet school in Sudbury, MA.  Having relocated to Wayland in 1997, NEB employs a professional staff.  Our caring and careful approach to training develops both professional ballet dancers and recreational dance students of all ages.  NEB strives to uphold the following principles:

  • Teach a high level of technique

  • Instill respect for the art and discipline of ballet

  • Encourage individual accomplishment and the joy of dance

  • Offer complementary programs for dance students and individuals seeking to enhance their training or physical well-being

  • Offer an environment of dedication and privacy beyond a gym format

  • Offer instruction at all levels (including Pre-ballet) utilizing a trained, experienced adult teaching staff
